This call was a district huddle to attack all the shrimp business in and around Macon, Ga. GFS just recently opened their first store in Georgia and it is located in Macon, Ga. We wanted to show the quality of Portico shrimp and get ahead of customers who may want to test out the new shrimp seen over at the GFS Store. The results were amazing when we cooked them up. See the photos. The GFS 16/20 shrimp looked like 26/30 at the end of it. The 2 products were equally comparable until we cooked them…at the end Portico yielded 89% (35.9/40.2) versus 80%(25.0/31.2) on the GFS shrimp. 9% favorable yield! The appearance, flavor and texture of Portico was far superior. The district was able to take pictures and some sent to customers right then to show the dramatic difference.
