Sysco S.C. Wesley Hime has been prospecting this Japanese Steakhouse for some time. Sysco lost the business to USFoods.
This is a very busy traditional Japanese Hibachi/Steakhouse.
Wesley set up the meeting with G.M. John and Chef Ozzi. The meeting MAIN PURPOSE was to building relationship and regaining the Customer’s confidence level for Sysco’s Portico Seafood product lines. I presented the features, advantages and benefits of Portico Brand Shrimp and Seafood product line. Chef Ozzi said he is NOT happy with USFoods-Harbor Banks Shrimp (please see attached picture) because they have no quality consistency. They are currently using a Shrimp Shell On Hdls 21/25 and de-shelling spending a lots of time. I explained that once de-shelled the Shrimp size will reduce to a 26/30 count and in addition when asked if they were doing anything with the shells they said nothing just disposing them. I suggested our item#7244991 Ecuador Premier Gold Shrimp P&D TLOF, they tried it and liked the flavor, firm bite and cooked look. They also loved #4542290 Tuna Poke Cube, Portico Shrimp BFLY Grl & Hrb, Bronzini and Portcls Shrimp P&D TLON 8/12.
Overall the meeting MAIN PURPOSE was met! The Customer will start purchasing from Sysco again and using the above featured items.
